Arnold Allen claims he is accused of racism for siding with Alexander Volkanovski against Islam Makhachev

Alexander Volkanovski, the featherweight champion, presented Islam Makhachev with his toughest test of his career during his maiden title defence. In the end, Makhachev won by decision, which divided the MMA community.

Prior to UFC Kansas City, featherweight contender Arnold Allen commented on the match. The Britishman said Volkanovski deserved the judges’ approval, but he also said that after voicing his opinion of the UFC 284 main event online, he was accused of being racist.

Almighty declared:

“I thought Volkanovski performed admirably. I expected him to act as he did, but he actually performed better than I had anticipated. I anticipated a strong performance from him. Arnold Allen will face former champion Max Holloway this weekend in an effort to get closer to a shot at the title. I thought maybe the size would be a factor, but no, he looked great, he looked great, and I had him winning. I have to rewatch it, but I have to watch what I say, people call me a racist because I said Volkanovski.
