On Friday, July 14, Akbar Abdullaev will compete in his second ONE Championship event, and he couldn’t have asked for a better performance to make his debut on the world stage of ONE Championship.

The unbeaten warrior from Kyrgyzstan put on a ferocious striking display, achieved a shocking knockout, and celebrated his victory with a majestic backflip, much to the delight of the rowdy crowd inside the venerable Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. The venue is known for being one of the best boxing arenas in the world.

In the stand-up competition, he instantly went to war with Aaron Canarte of Ecuador and didn’t waste a single second of the time allotted to him. He alerted ‘Tommy Gun’ with a few of punches, and then woke him up with a spinning heel kick to the midsection, which transported him to the ropes.

Canarte was visibly hurt by the shot, but Abdullaev followed up with a couple of rights and a straight left before Canarte could even show any sign of discomfort on his face.

The 26-year-old man attempted to get himself out of trouble by retreating away from the impending threat. However, ‘Bakal’ stepped on the pedal, went into fifth gear, and dug in another short hook to the body, which knocked him down to the canvas like a lion chasing its prey.

The unbeaten Ecuadorian was unable to withstand the avalanche of punches that was landing on the mat, and the referee, Herb Dean, stepped in to stop the onslaught after just 41 seconds had passed in the opening round.

In the first round of the mixed martial arts featherweight competition, Akbar Abdullaev won through technical knockout (referee stoppage) against Aaron Canarte at 0:41.

The technical knockout victory earned by Akbar Abdullaev gave him his perfect record of 10-0 and gave him the ninth first-round finish of his career, giving him a finishing rate of 100 percent.

Because of his triumph that was captured on video, the Al Munar Team and Tiger Muay Thai were awarded a performance bonus of fifty thousand dollars.
