Sean Strickland hints he needs more money to fight Israel Adesanya
Sean Strickland appears to be the promotion’s subsequent choice to fight Israel Adesanya after it was rumored that Dricus Du Plessis would be withdrawing from their bout at UFC 291. However, it seems that in order to secure Tarzan’s services, the UFC will have to shell out a substantial sum of money.
In a conversation with sports writer Helen Yee, the American indicated that, in contrast to Du Plessis, he is willing to fight Adesanya on such short notice; however, he would only do so for the appropriate sum of money:
“I understand, Dricus… it is very natural just to fight, which I just did, I fought like a week before you, and then you’d be like, ‘hey, you want to fly across the world to fight a guy on seven weeks’ notice?’ “I fought like a week before you,” “I fought like a week before you,” “I fought like a week before you,” “I fought like a week before you,” “I It’s perfectly reasonable to remark something like, “I’m not sure I want to do that.” But I’m a man…if you pay me, [but] there is a price attached to my services. If you give me any cash, I will f* fight Israel Adesanya right here… You fg pay me, and we’ll battle it out right here.”
