When CZN Burak’s pranks on Khabib Nurmagomedov brought forth funny reactions from fans, “The only guy who made Khabib flinch” was what fans called CZN Burak.

Published:

The stern temperament that Khabib Nurmagomedov exudes is in part attributable to the fact that he spent significant portions of his youth in the highlands of Dagestan.

The atmosphere he grew up in helped shape the former lightweight champion into a resilient person who he is today. Several years ago, footage of a younger Nurmagomedov wrestling with adolescent brown bears in Russia became viral on the internet and quickly spread throughout the world. “The Eagle” has also previously discussed the challenging environments that he was required to endure when attending training camps when he was a teenager.

The fact that Khabib Nurmagomedov has never lost in mixed martial arts competition and has a perfect record of 29-0 is evidence that he does not fear his opponents. “The Eagle” would overpower his opponents by applying consistent pressure, and he paid little attention to the threats that were hurled his way.

On the other hand, it would appear that one individual, none other than the renowned chef CZN Burak, was successful in momentarily making the previous champion lose his composure. The popular chef has had ‘The Eagle’ on multiple occasions in his restaurants, where he plays a joke on Nurmagomedov by pretending to drop steaming hot food on his lap and then laughing hysterically.

To the amusement of the former champion, the practical jokes have more than once led Khabib Nurmagomedov to show signs of discomfort.

How similar were the UFC careers of Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev pre-title win?

A recent internet statistic that was just uploaded by the MMA account @freak.mma demonstrates how comparable Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev’s UFC careers were before either of them won the title.

The most notable difference between Makhachev’s career and that of ‘The Eagle’ is the knockout loss he suffered at the hands of Adriano Martins. However, there are a number of aspects in which they are comparable, such as the overall amount of octagon time each lightweight had accrued before competing for the UFC title.

Islam Makhachev has been compared to Khabib Nurmagomedov by a number of training partners in the past. This is due to the fact that both guys employ striking methods that are very similar and completely dominate their opponents.

According to data provided by freak.mma, the amount of time spent in the octagon by each of these men prior to their first battle for the UFC title is only differentiated by a meager five seconds.
