Bryce Mitchell, a featherweight in the UFC, thinks Alexander Volkanovski’s victory over Islam Makhachev was unfair. At UFC 284 earlier this year, Volkanovski made his UFC lightweight debut by taking on Islam Makhachev for the 155-pound title in an attempt to become champion-champ. However, after a close contest, the current featherweight champion lost by decision. Some even contend that Volkanovski, an Australian, merited the judges’ decision that night after giving Makhachev the toughest fight of his career. In a recent interview with James Lynch, Bryce Mitchell discussed the Makhachev vs. Volkanovski fight and expressed his opinions on the verdict, claiming that the fight was “rigged”:

“Dude, that fight was rigged to fk. He imports that much cash from the Middle East. When you’re bringing in that much money from the Middle East and from the oil industry, sir. I suppose they just f***g paid the judges since all of the wealthiest individuals in the world are from the Middle East.Thug Nasty furthered:

“I don’t think anything, I know Alexander Volkanovski won a decision, and I know that crap was rigged. You cannot convince me that the results weren’t manipulated; I am not f*ing stupid. I know Alexander Volkanovski won the fight, so you can pay the judges whatever the fk you want to.

Islam Makhachev called out Leon Edwards following UFC 286

At UFC 286 this last weekend, Leon Edwards made his comeback in a highly anticipated trilogy matchup against Kamaru Usman. Rocky managed to maintain his championship despite once again being the underdog against “The Nigerian Nightmare” by winning by majority decision.

Islam Makhachev entered his name for a chance at becoming a double champion after Edwards defeated Usman. Makhachev challenged “Rocky” to a bout in Abu Dhabi in October of this year via Twitter. A fight between Leon Edwards and Islam Makhachev looks unlikely right now, the Dagestani tweeted. At the UFC 286 post-fight news conference, Dana White said that Edwards will face Colby Covington next.
