John Lineker has stated that he is willing to “fight anybody” in order to secure a trilogy with Fabricio Andrade.

John Lineker, a prominent figure in the sport of mixed martial arts in Brazil, has expressed a desire to compete for the ONE bantamweight world title once more and is prepared to take on any opponent that comes in his way.

At ONE Fight Night 13 on Prime Video, which took place on August 4 in Bangkok, one of the winners was a fight called “Hands of Stone.”

In that match, he defeated Kim Jae Woong of South Korea by punches that resulted in a technical knockout in the third round in their catchweight mixed martial arts fight.

The victory marked the beginning of John Lineker’s campaign to secure a trilogy title bout against Fabricio Andrade, the current ONE bantamweight world champion and another Brazilian fighter.

Following his triumph, the American Top Team standout, who is now 33 years old, gave an interview to the South China Morning Post in which he stated that his most recent victory was additional proof that he continues to be the leading competitor in the division and that he is prepared to continue showing it against any opponent.

According to John Lineker:

“I believe that I have demonstrated that I am a contender for the crown. I am an employee of ONE Fighting Championship, and if the [promotion] wants me to fight somebody else, I will fight anybody they want me to fight.

At ONE Fight Night 13, John Lineker won a decisive victory with a blazing finish that tipped the scales in his favor.

‘Hands of Stone’ pushed deep and unleashed powerful punches in the latter moments of the battle when he became aware that he was trailing in the scorecards of the judges.

Kim Jae Woong was knocked out by a powerful straight left to the face, and then John Lineker followed it up with more telling blows, which eventually forced the referee to call a stop to the contest with just four seconds left.

Lineker was the former holder of the ONE bantamweight world title, but he lost it for failing to make weight before to his first title fight with Andrade in October of last year. Andrade went on to win the fight and become the new champion. However, there was no winner declared because there was no competition in the match.

The fight for the vacant bantamweight world title took place between the two fighters in February. Andrade won by technical knockout when Lineker was unable to go into the fourth round after suffering so much damage to his face during the fight.

Prime Video members in North America get access to a free replay of ONE Fight Night 13, which took place earlier this month.
