Takeru Segawa is impressed by how Rodtang manages to combine “strength and charm” in his personality.


Takeru Segawa, a former three-time world champion in K1, has made it very apparent that he is interested in testing himself against Rodtang Jitmuangnon, one of the most prominent fighters in ONE Championship.

Despite the fact that the rising star from Japan has every intention of dethroning the current king of the flyweight division of ONE Muay Thai, he has expressed his love for the Thai fighter who appears to be invincible.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Takeru gushed about some of Rodtang’s most lovable attributes, which contributed to the development of the latter into the global phenomenon that he is today:

Takeru described him as a powerful and versatile fighter with a strong mentality. “He is a strong fighter,” Takeru remarked. In addition to that, he has the ability to captivate the audience. That is Rodtang’s enduring power and endearing quality.

Rodtang’s relentless and in-your-face approach, which exemplifies what ‘The Art of Eight Limbs’ is all about, made him an instant hit with fight fans all over the world and established him as a bona fide star from the very beginning of his career.

In addition to his lethal striking skills of world-class caliber, the 25-year-old is a real showman both inside and outside of the Circle.

The standout student at Jitmuangnon Gym has not been defeated in any of his 14 all-striking bouts competed in under the ONE Championship banner. His most recent victory came against Edgar Tabares in May of last year at the historic ONE Fight Night 10 event. It was a world-ending elbow that earned him the victory.

Takeru is unaffected despite how fantastic ‘The Iron Man’ has been, and he most definitely wants all of the smoke.

The individual who goes by the name “Natural Born Crusher” has a good chance of being Rodtang’s most formidable and technically adept adversary to date.

Takeru is an exceptional talent who undoubtedly have the capacity to compete well against Rodtang on account of his 42 career victories and 25 knockouts and technical knockouts.

In addition to this, his high-paced style is a wonderful fit for the Thai destroyer, and this possible confrontation has all the makings to be a bona fide barnburner.
