Look back at Regian Eersel’s vicious leg kick clash with Sinsamut Klinmee at ONE on Prime Video 3 before you watch him defend the ONE lightweight Muay Thai world title at ONE Fight Night 11: Eersel vs. Menshikov on Prime Video.
After their hard fight for the world title in October of last year, both competitors must have been in tremendous pain, and it is impossible for words to adequately depict that pain. They placed their bodies in harm’s way, quite literally, in order to make history and win the title of ONE lightweight Muay Thai world champion for the first time ever.
Take a look at the horrible leg kick duel that they had below:
Following a fight that was intensely contested on all fronts, the Surinamese striker emerged victorious by virtue of a split decision to win the inaugural ONE lightweight Muay Thai world championship and become a unique two-time ONE world champion.
Later on, he would defend his belt in a thrilling sequel against Sinsamut this year, proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is the uncontested champion of the world.
On the 9th of June, Eersel will be prepared to once more put his legacy on the line. In order to further consolidate his position as one of the best lightweight strikers in the world, “The Immortal,” who also holds the world title in lightweight kickboxing for ONE Championship, will compete against the Russian juggernaut Dmitry Menshikov.
On the other hand, Menshikov, who is only 25 years old, will make his debut in ONE Championship this coming Friday, and there is a great deal of anticipation surrounding his ability to fight. As a matter of fact, he is coming in hot with a professional record that includes 27 wins overall, 19 knockouts, and only one loss.
However, Eersel does not appear to place a great deal of importance on the numbers. He has a tack-sharp focus on achieving his objectives, the most important of which is to maintain his unbeaten record in two different high-level fields.
Amazon Prime Video will provide a live stream of ONE Fight Night 11: Eersel vs. Menshikov, which will be held at the illustrious Lumpinee Boxing Stadium and is free to watch for subscribers in North America.
