During her interview, Phetjeeja discussed the ways in which her life has evolved since she signed with ONE Championship.
‘The Queen’ made her debut in the ONE Championship on March 17, when she defeated Fani Peloumpi via knockout in the second round. Since then, the Thai phenom has continued to gain momentum, as seen by three more victories, all of which were achieved through knockout, with two of those victories occurring in the first round.
Over the course of the following week, Phetjeeja will be presented with a significant opportunity to win the ONE interim atomweight kickboxing world championship. In order to accomplish this, the 21-year-old fighter needs to prevail over Anissa Meksen at the main card of ONE Friday Fights 46.
Just prior to her departure for the battle on Friday, “The Queen” gave an interview to ONE in which she remarked on the beneficial impact that the promotion has had on her character:
Since I put my name on a contract with ONE, a lot of things have changed in my life. The reason for this is that when I returned to Muay Thai after taking a significant gap, there were a greater number of people following and supporting me. In addition, my financial status has significantly improved. mainly due to the fact that there is now a significant bonus and additional fight money for me and other fighters.

Phetjeeja thought it would take longer before fighting in a ONE kickboxing bout
Phetjeeja’s first objective after signing with ONE Championship was to capture the ONE atomweight Muay Thai world title. This was his primary objective. Despite this, she was presented with the chance to win the gold medal in kickboxing, and she couldn’t pass up the opportunity to compete at ONE Friday Fights 46.
“The Queen” was quoted as saying the following during the interview with ONE that was stated earlier:
Since I joined ONE, this is the first time I have participated in kickboxing. In the beginning, I intended to compete in Muay Thai for a period of time. And I would have loved to participate in kickboxing at some point in the future because there are a lot of fantastic female kickboxers competing in the atomweight division when I was younger. But more quickly than I had anticipated, that day arrived.
Despite the fact that Phetjeeja has been on a roll in 2023, she has not yet competed against anyone who is comparable to Anissa Meksen under the ONE Championship banner. Throughout his career, Meksen has compiled a record of 103-5 in Muay Thai and kickboxing, including three victories with the promotion.
During the upcoming ONE Friday Fights 46 event, the seven-time kickboxing and Muay Thai world champion intends to continue developing her legacy by winning the gold medal.
