Since she last competed a year ago, ‘Unstoppable’ Angela Lee, the reigning and undisputed ONE women’s atomweight MMA world champion, has been absent from the sport, and fans have missed seeing the Singaporean-American perform what she does best inside the Circle.

Lee has not come back, and she has only recently reemerged in the public eye to share her own tale of coping with depression and attempting to take her own life.
During a recent interview that took place on Instagram live and was conducted by experienced ONE Championship broadcast commentator Mitch ‘The Dragon’ Chilson, Lee provided an update on her life, discussed the progress that has been made with her non-profit organization FightStory, and discussed her work to assist individuals all over the world who are afflicted with depression.
The song “Unstoppable” stated:
“Yeah, I’m aware that all of us are giving it our best go, and I’m giving it my best shot as well. That is the only option we have. Make an effort to reinstate some measure of goodness in the world. Being honest and exposed in such a way makes telling that narrative challenging, yes, but it’s important to get it out there. I know there are a lot of other people out there who have been through the same thing or who are going through the same thing, and I’m glad that I did that even though it wasn’t an easy thing to do because it’s helped me realize that I’m not alone in my experiences. The first step on the path to one’s own healing is to simply put one’s feelings into words. As a result, it is my sincere wish that others would find some inspiration in the events that transpired in my life.
Concerning the sport of fighting, Lee has not indicated in any way whether or not she will return to it. In point of fact, on this coming Friday night at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, ONE Fight Night 14 will feature a fight between top-ranked atomweight contenders Stamp Fairtex and Ham Seo Hee, in which an interim atomweight belt will be up for grabs due to Lee’s absence.
At this point in her life, Lee’s one concern is making sure that she provides for her family. She went on to say that
“It’s been quite some time. You should know that I’ve been keeping myself occupied by following after my daughter Ava, who is two and a half years old. She has unquestionably been keeping me very busy recently. Too rapid of a growth. Additionally, we have been putting a lot of effort into the development of FightStory. That recently went live, and there are a lot of exciting things planned for the near future, so I am extremely thrilled for that.”
