‘Hitman’ Liam Harrison, a former challenger for the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title, is one of many people who have grown tired of waiting for the superfight between Thai studs Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Superlek Kiatmoo9.
However, the 37-year-old veteran lays all of the responsibility on the reigning ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion, even going so far as to allege that Rodtang has been avoiding Superlek the whole while.
Harrison had already criticized Rodtang for postponing what was inevitably going to happen during his appearance on the Summit1g webcast during ONE Fight Night 10 in May of last year.
“Hitman” stated that:
“He [Rodtang] publicly stated the other day in an interview that he doesn’t want to face Superlek because all Thais should hold all of the belts. The statement was made in reference to me not wanting to fight Superlek. If you want to be the best in the world, you have to compete against those who are already the best.
Harrison, along with millions of other fans all over the world, will be relieved to learn that we won’t have to wait too much longer before the two Thai warriors compete against one other in the ONE Championship ring.
‘The Iron Man’ Rodtang Jitmuangnon, the reigning ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion, will defend his title against ‘Superlek Kiatmoo9’, the ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion.
On September 22, the pair will square off in the main event of ONE Friday Fights 34, which will take place at the illustrious Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. The fight can be viewed live and for free on ONE Championship’s official YouTube channel as well as the ONE Super App, which is the organization’s mobile app.
This fight will go down in history as a battle for the ages since it will feature two of the best flyweight strikers on the planet competing against each other.
