Fabricio Andrade has expressed confidence that he would defeat Jonathan Haggerty via knockout in their forthcoming bout.
At ONE Fight Night 15, which will take place on October 6, Andrade and Haggerty will compete to see who can become a two-time world champion in their respective sports. Due to the fact that these high-level fighters are slated to compete for the unclaimed ONE bantamweight kickboxing world championship, the matchup came as a surprise to the fans, who are quite excited about it.
Andrade, the bantamweight MMA world champion, gave an interview to ONE in which he discussed his impending battle against the bantamweight Muay Thai world champion. Here is what Andrade had to say about the bout:
That will give me an advantage over the length of the battle, and I’ll be able to knock him out as a result.”
Fabricio Andrade’s most recent bout took place on February 24 and was a rematch against John Lineker for the unclaimed bantamweight MMA world championship in the ONE Championship. At ONE Fight Night 7, Andrade knocked out his opponent Lineker via technical knockout after a relentless onslaught that lasted the entirety of the bout.
“Wonder Boy” currently has a record of 6-0 in promotions, with five of those wins coming inside the distance of the contest.
In the meanwhile, Jonathan Haggerty is fresh off a historic victory in the bantamweight division in his debut in Muay Thai. The former ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion made a statement in his new class by knocking out Nong-O Hama in the first round. This victory put him on top of the division.
“The General” will try to maintain his outstanding run by eliminating Andrade as soon as possible.
The battle between Jonathan Haggerty and Fabricio Andrade is one of three fights for world titles that will take place at ONE battle Night 15, which will take place at the illustrious Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Prime Video users in North America are eligible to watch the event live and at no additional cost on October 6.
