Chingiz Allazov is under the impression that he was able to throw a perfect game against Marat Grigorian.

Chingiz Allazov, the current ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion, had his first-ever title defense last week. Despite the fact that he was put through the ringer, Allazov was confident that he was able to dominate the bout and was deserving of the unanimous decision victory he received.

On August 4 in Bangkok, ‘Chinga’ competed against his long-time adversary Marat Grigorian of Armenia in the main event of ONE Fight Night 13, which was broadcast live on Prime Video.

The two best strikers engaged in intense back-and-forth action, delivering telling blows and counter-blows to one another. The action was nonstop from start to finish.

Chingiz Allazov demonstrated that he had more to contribute, as he was able to answer everything that was thrown his way on the road to winning by unanimous decision. This was despite the fact that Marat Grigorian did have his moments.

It is important to note that in accordance with the global ruleset of ONE Championship, fights are scored based on the entirety of the bout rather than round-by-round.

During an interview with the South China Morning Post that took place after his most recent battle, Chingiz Allazov expressed his certainty that he had thrown a shutout and stated the following:

“Just so you know, the battle you saw today was really intense. It was never even close. I triumphed in each of the [five] rounds. My trainer congratulated me during the final round by saying, “Chingiz, you won the fight.”

Payback for the unanimous decision loss Chingiz Allazov suffered at the hands of Marat Grigorian outside the ONE Championship ten years ago came in the form of Chingiz Allazov’s most recent triumph, which he earned.

Additionally, it was his sixth consecutive victory after receiving the promotion.

While this was going on, Marat Grigorian suffered his second loss in the title showdown. In March of the previous year, he made his initial bid for the ONE featherweight kickboxing world title, but he was unsuccessful and lost by unanimous decision to the fighter who was the world champion at the time, Superbon Singha Mawynn.
