Who triumphed yesterday night’s UFC fight? (March 25, 2023)

This past weekend, the UFC held a fight night at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. Cory Sandhagen and Marlon Vera, two top bantamweights, squared up in the evening’s main event.Chito was defeated by Sandhagen, who started the match as the early aggressor and held top control for the whole of the opening frame. As the bout went on, “Sandman” gained more momentum and used his enormous size advantage to take the Ecuadorian apart from a distance.Vera launched a desperate barrage in the final moments of the battle, but it was obviously insufficient. To the dismay of UFC supporters and commentators, Sandhagen only managed to secure a split decision victory in spite of his outstanding performance.

In the evening’s co-main event, longtime training partners and UFC women’s bantamweight veterans Holly Holm and Yana Santos (formerly Kunitskaya) squared off. ‘The Preacher’s Daughter’ pummelling Santos from side control for nearly the entire bout, earning a convincing unanimous decision victory.Nate Landwehr, a seasoned featherweight, defeated Austin Lingo via clean submission on the main card.Maycee Barber, a female flyweight contender, defeated Andrea Lee by split decision after a hard-fought bout.The main-card action got underway with Daniel Pineda’s second-round submission victory over Tucker Lutz following the last-minute cancellation of a highly anticipated bantamweight bout between Alex Perez and Manel Kape.
