Jeremy Miado, a Filipino strawweight boxer, acknowledges that he is taking a significant risk by taking on Mansur Malachiev, a newbie to ONE Championship, despite the fact that he is optimistic about his chances in his forthcoming battle.
On June 9 at the historic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, ‘The Jaguar’ will compete against the Russian fighter who has never been defeated in a featured strawweight mixed martial arts duel that will be broadcast on Prime Video as part of ONE Fight Night 11.
It is a bout that Jeremy Miado says bears a lot of significance for him because a loss could easily derail his reinvigorated quest to climb the rankings in his weight class. Jeremy Miado is competing in this fight.
During an interview with ONE Championship, a representative from the Marrok Force affiliate stated:
“I gambled with my life in this match. While I believe I’m on the path to become a contender, he’s only getting started in the competition.
Jeremy Miado is presently on a four-fight winning streak, with his most recent victory coming in October via third-round technical knockout over Australian-Thai fireball Danial Williams.
The 30-year-old Miado was in his striking form against Williams. He punished his opponent with telling hits that culminated in a potent combination that put ‘Mini T’ to the ground and waved off afterward. Miado was in his striking element.
Following the victory, he found himself perilously close to breaking into the top five in the strawweight rankings.
Mansur Malachiev, a standout in mixed martial arts and a wrestler for his whole life, is determined to make a victorious debut in ONE Championship and is planning to accomplish so by frustrating the Filipino fighter.
Malachiev, who is now 32 years old and had fought and won all 10 of his bouts in the Russian circuit before signing with the company, eight of those bouts ended in a knockout for Malachiev. He believes that his exceptional wrestling talents will allow him to carve out a niche for himself in ONE and put him in position to one day challenge for a world title.
