The following was stated by user @JoaoBlade7 on Twitter:

“For Belal, if you were a Muslim, you would have won the battle. Only required.”

Belal Muhammad sees bleak future for the Khamzat Chimaev-Kamaru Usman bout discussions

Many mixed martial arts (MMA) fans are excited about the prospect of Kamaru Usman facing Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 294, which will take place in Abu Dhabi. Despite this, Belal Muhammad voiced his doubts regarding the possibility of the fight taking place as planned.

During a recent conversation with The Schmo, the third-ranked welterweight explained his reasoning for why the Usman vs. Chimaev fight won’t take place at 185 pounds. He also highlighted his concerns regarding the possibility of the Chechen-born Swede to make the welterweight limit:

“In my opinion, all of this is just chatter to keep oneself in the headlines and to remain relevant. I can’t wait to see if Usman will engage in another battle. I do not believe that he should move up to 185 because if you beat Khamzat, you will most likely be fighting for the title in the near future. I do not believe that he should make this move. And Kamaru will not be engaging in combat with [Israel] Adesanya… If Khamzat can achieve 170 pounds, that battle would be incredible, but I have my doubts that he can accomplish it.
