The “disrespectful” Jonathan Haggerty is about to be brought back down to earth by Liam Harrison’s scheme.

Liam Harrison, who competes in the bantamweight division of ONE Muay Thai and is now rated fifth in the world, has stated his desire to humiliate Jonathan Haggerty should they ever meet inside the ring.

Shortly after ‘The General’ pulled off a major upset over Nong-O Hama at ONE Fight Night 9 last month to become the new ONE bantamweight Muay Thai king, the public’s excitement in a Brit-on-Brit showdown between these two fighters began to grow. The fight would be between two fighters from the United Kingdom.

Harrison, who is now making a full recovery from knee surgery, expressed his elation at being called out by a fellow countryman. On the other hand, it turns out the compliment was a backhanded one.

It is easy to see why ‘The Hitman’ would have taken exception to Haggerty’s characterization of him as “the easiest fight in the division.”

Harrison delivered a critical response to Haggerty’s alleged lack of respect while speaking to ONE Championship during his presence at the promotion’s first on-site event in the United States, which took place at ONE Fight Night 10.

“He is completely unrespected, and I intend to bring him down to his proper place. If he thinks I’m the simplest fight in that division, I’ll bring him back down to earth with a crash because I promise he hasn’t fought anyone who can hit as hard as I do. “I’ll bring him back down to earth with a crash if he thinks I’m the easiest fight in that division.”
ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong has previously indicated his interest in having a Haggerty vs. Harrison battle serve as the starring act of the Singapore-based organization’s planned debut in the United Kingdom. The event is scheduled to take place in the United Kingdom.

During an interview on the Kickin’ It With Liam Harrison Podcast, the head honcho of the promotion made a passing reference to the possibility of holding it at the illustrious Wembley Stadium.

For his part, Harrison stated that he would gladly take up that offer if it were presented to him as his return match from injury.

However, if given the chance, he would want to fight once more upon his full recovery before settling his business with Haggerty and putting 26 pounds of gold on the line. This battle would take place once he has fully recovered.
