Tayfun Ozcan continues to exercise extreme caution in light of the threat posed by Superbon.

It would appear like Tayfun Ozcan already has the mental element of his upcoming bout in the ONE Championship figured out.

This Friday, during primetime in the United States, ONE Fight Night 11: Eersel vs. Menshikov will be streamed live on Prime Video from the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, where the Turkish star will face off against Superbon Singha Mawynn, a former world champion in the featherweight division of ONE Kickboxing.

In spite of the outcome of Superbon’s most recent fight, Ozcan continues to be apprehensive of the threat that the Thai superstar will present during their next clash.

At ONE Fight Night 6 in January of this year, Superbon was knocked out in the second round, which resulted in Chingiz Allazov winning the ONE featherweight kickboxing world title.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Ozcan stated that he will always consider Superbon as an absolute threat, and that he will continue to view them in that light going into their battle in Bangkok.

“In a fight, anything can happen, and you can get knocked out by anyone. It’s just the nature of the game.” It does not strengthen or weaken him as an opponent in any way. He is still known as Superbon, and I take what he says very seriously.

As for Ozcan, a victory over Superbon has the potential to put him in a position where he can challenge Allazov for the world title. ‘Turbine’ is now ranked as the No. 5 featherweight kickboxer in ONE Championship, but he has been struggling recently, with a record of 1-2 in the promotion.

Ozcan has a strong victory over Enriko Kohl at ONE: Full Circle via unanimous decision, but he has also suffered two tight decisions defeats at the hands of Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong and Marat Grigorian.

Superbon, on the other hand, got out to a perfect start in ONE Championship, defeating Sitthichai, Giorgio Petrosyan, and Grigorian before losing the title to Allazov. He won all three of those fights.

All Prime Video subscribers in North America get access to the live stream of ONE Fight Night 11 at no additional cost.
