Rodtang vs. Superlek has been described by Denice Zamboanga as having the “potential to make the world stop and watch.”

Published:

Denice Zamboanga, who is now ranked third in the ONE atomweight division, has competed in her fair share of high-profile bouts, but she acknowledges that the main event of ONE Friday Fights 34 is on a whole different level.

Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Superlek Kiatmoo9, two of the most accomplished practitioners of “The Art of Eight Limbs,” have reached an agreement to face one other in a Muay Thai match at the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok on September 22. This bout is widely considered to be the most important bout in the history of the sport.

This long-overdue clash has felt inevitable from the very beginning, as ‘The Iron Man’ and ‘The Kicking Machine’ both forged their own unique paths to glory. This fight has been a long time coming.

The summit of the mountain may be reached by whichever route you take. In just a few short weeks, the world will get its first look at the best striker on the planet weighing 135 pounds.

Denice Zamboanga, an avid follower of mixed martial arts and all things related to combat sports, made a recent appearance on The MMA Superfan and explained the enormity of this historic megafight:

“This battle has the potential to cause people all across the world to stop what they’re doing and watch. Even if you question people who live in the area, they won’t be able to tell you who the victor will be.

Rodtang, of course, has everything to lose in this fight given that the fate of his ONE flyweight Muay Thai championship will be decided by the outcome.

The most significant advantage, on the other hand, is that he will finally silence his detractors if he is successful in defeating his colleague and close friend, who is viewed by many as the favorite in the competition.

The invincible Thai juggernaut, who is 26 years old, has never faced an opponent in a striking battle that he was unable to defeat while competing under the ONE banner. He has a perfect record of 14-0 in Muay Thai and kickboxing bouts.

However, Superlek is without a doubt the most difficult obstacle he has faced to this point. The current flyweight kickboxing champion of ONE is also undefeated in eight Muay Thai fights that have taken place inside the ONE ring.

At the same time as Denice Zamboanga, all of us here at ONE Friday Fights 34 can’t wait for these two Thai titans to finally square off against one another.

The ONE weekly events are uploaded to the promotion’s official YouTube website, where they may be seen for free.
