ONE Championship is reflecting on Rodtang Jitmuangnon’s successful promotional debut in 2018, and they are doing it by looking back at the past.

Over the course of the past few years, “The Iron Man” has built a reputation for himself as one of the most thrilling and dangerous strikers in all of the many combat sports. Rodtang has already cemented his place in history despite only being 25 years old thanks to his 271 career victories. The Thai superstar currently holds the title of world champion in the flyweight division of ONE Muay Thai and has established himself as an almost unbeatable opponent.

The ONE Championship is providing viewers of “The Iron Man” with the ability to go back in time and see the beginning of it all on YouTube. They distributed a video clip of his fantastic debut with the promotion at ONE: Conquest of Heroes in 2018, which took place in 2018.

That night, Rodtang established his domination over Wielzen by earning a victory via unanimous decision over the opponent.

On the way to an opportunity to fight for the ONE global title against the reigning champion Jonathan Haggerty, he would add three more names to his hit list of opponents. In what many people believed to be a competition that was going to be quite close, “The Iron Man” would come out on top. Rodtang and Haggerty ran it again five months later, resolute to disprove without a shadow of a doubt that he should have been declared the winner.

On that occasion, Rodtang left no question as to whether he was entitled of a victory in the first bout, scoring a savage third-round knockout over ‘The General’ to retain his ONE global championship. In doing so, Rodtang left no room for debate as to whether he was deserving of a victory.

Since that time, “The Iron Man” has added a laundry list of major names to his resume. These include Walter Goncalves, Danial Williams, and Joseph Lasiri, the reigning ONE strawweight Muay Thai world champion.

Most recently, Rodtang successfully defended his championship for the second time by knocking out Edgar Tabares of Mexico with a powerful elbow strike in the second round at ONE Fight Night 10 that was shown on Prime Video.

After the fight, ‘The Iron Man’ issued a challenge to the recently minted ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion, Jonathan Haggerty, to a third bout.
