Reinier de Ridder promises fans the best version of himself at ONE Fight Night 10

Reinier de Ridder, the ONE middleweight world champion, made a promise to himself after suffering his first professional mixed martial arts loss the previous time around. He promised to bounce back stronger and resume his winning ways in his subsequent fight.On May 5 at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video in the US, “The Dutch Knight” will make his comeback, competing in a submission grappling superfight against American phenom Tye Ruotolo.After losing to Russian Anatoly Malykhin in the first round by knockout in December, Reinier de Ridder enters the competition. He also lost the ONE light heavyweight world title he had previously held as a result of those events.

The Dutch champion remarked in an interview with The MMA Superfan that the loss served as a wake-up call for him to continue honing his techniques and developing as a fighter.

In a letter to the supporters, the Combat Brothers spokesperson stated:

“Yeah, dude. I’ll see you guys later. Until then, bye. More than ever, I’m working hard and grinding. Prepare for RDR 2.0.A little over a year after his last appearance, Reinier de Ridder will make his return to submission wrestling in the fight against Tye Ruotolo.

In March 2022, he squared off against Ruotolo’s Atos Jiu-Jitsu instructor Andre Galvao, and the match was a draw.

De Ridder has done everything possible to prepare for his matchup with Tye Ruotolo, a top submission artist who is younger than him. He has worked on his technique and enlisted the aid of renowned Brazilian jiu-jitsu competitors.

The promotion’s inaugural live on-ground event in the United States will take place in Colorado’s 1stBank Centre for ONE Fight Night 10.
