For Demetrious Johnson, ONE Fight Night 10 is a memorable occasion. The main event of the packed schedule at the 1stBank Centre in Colorado will feature rival Adriano Moraes and the reigning ONE flyweight world champion in a trilogy for the ages.’Mighty Mouse’ will also get the opportunity to compete on May 5 in front of his loved ones for the first time in nearly five years.
Before the Singapore-based organization’s first event on American soil, Johnson spoke with ONE Championship and explained why this forthcoming fight is the most significant of his illustrious career:
“For me, just having my kids there is the most important thing. Evidently, they had watched me fight on television. That is therefore likely the coolest thing. Additionally, it’s really cool to see my friends and family after such a long time away from America.
Additionally, ‘DJ’ expressed gratitude to ONE Championship for giving him the chance to serve as the host of yet another significant event for the company:
Professionally, I believe that my ability to lead into the first event merely further demonstrates the commitment that ONE Championship has made in me.
Demetrious Johnson, who ranks among the top MMA competitors ever to don a pair of gloves, has served as the face of ONE since he first travelled to Asia in 2019.
The 36-year-old superstar and Adriano Moraes first faced off at ONE on TNT 1 in 2021, the promotion’s first appearance on an American television network. Last year, ‘Mighty Mouse’ and ‘Mikinho’ squared off in the main event of ONE on Prime Video, a joint venture between ONE and Amazon Prime Video.
It only seems sense that the third and possibly final clash between the two legends occurs on a different historical card at this point.
For current Prime Video customers in North America, ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs. Moraes III will stream live throughout US primetime.
