Regarding the impending conflict with Phetjeeja, Allycia Hellen Rodrigues says the following: “We are aware that we will have to deal with her.”

Allycia Hellen Rodrigues is aware that it is just a matter of time before she enters the Circle with Phetjeeja, who is quickly becoming a phenomenon in Thailand.

On September 29, Rodrigues will make his comeback to action inside Singapore Indoor Stadium as part of an action-packed night of fights that will be highlighted by a bout for an interim atomweight world title between Stamp Fairtex and Ham Seo Hee. Rodrigues will be a part of the event. Rodrigues, the current holder of the ONE atomweight Muay Thai world championship, is slated to compete against teen sensation Smilla Sundell for the ONE strawweight Muay Thai title. This highly anticipated champion vs. champion matchup has also been planned to take place.

The Brazilian attacker Allycia Hellen Rodrigues is aware that she will have to face ‘The Queen’ Phetjeeja at some point in the not-too-distant future, regardless of whether or not she emerges from Lion City as a global champion in two different divisions.

During an interview with the South China Morning Post, Rodrigues’ coach, Leo Elias, spoke on her behalf and said that they are aware that they will be competing against her. “We are certain of the outcome, but we do not yet know when. We are going to have to compete against her, and we are going to give every battle our all. We are going to show up with our finest effort and give it our best shot. And to do all we can, like we do in every war, you know, to the best of our ability. We put forth one hundred percent of the effort.”

Phetjeeja made her debut in the ring back in March, and since then she has won three times in a row, with each victory coming through knockout. At ONE Friday Fights 12 in July, ‘The Queen’ knocked out Fani Peloumpi and Ines Pilutti before delivering a spectacular knockout of two-time ISKA world champion Lara Fernandez in just 26 seconds. Lara Fernandez was competing in the event.

After taking home the victory, Phetjeeja wasted no time in challenging Allycia Hellen Rodrigues to a battle for the world championship. Whether or whether that is next for ‘The Queen’ is something that has to be seen, but with three knockouts against three great opponents in the period of four months, it would definitely be tough to deny her a crack at her first ONE global championship.

On September 29, Amazon Prime Video users in North America will be able to watch the entirety of ONE Fight Night 14 live and without charge during primetime in the United States.
