Once more, John Lineker has Fabricio Andrade in his sights because he sees the opportunity to win back his title.

John Lineker believes that he has done enough to earn a chance to fight for what was once his – the ONE bantamweight MMA world title – after he has won two matches in a row after going through a rather difficult period. These victories came after he had been through some really challenging times.

“Hands of Stone” began the path to his comeback in August of this past year with a late third-round technical knockout victory over the South Korean superstar Kim Jae Woong. At the fourteenth installment of ONE Fight Night, which took place on September 29th, he notched another significant victory, this time over the Filipino warrior Stephen Loman.

In a battle between the top two ranked contenders in the bantamweight division, the fight was seen as a potential title eliminator clash due to the fact that it took place between those two fighters.

After ensuring his triumph against the athlete rated second overall, the Brazilian veteran does not want to take any further action prior to clinching a spot in the final for a chance to win the gold.

Following his victory inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium, John Lineker gave an interview to the South China Morning Post in which he discussed what’s next on his agenda. Here is what he had to say:

“I would love the opportunity to win back my crown. And I want to battle Fabricio once more for the opportunity to win back my championship.”

The 33-year-old is aware that he will have to wait for his opportunity to fight Andrade for a rubber match, despite the fact that his desire to do so is at an all-time high. This is due to the fact that Andrade currently has a lot on his plate.

In the main event of ONE Fight Night 16 on November 3, “Wonder Boy” will compete against Jonathan Haggerty for the unclaimed ONE bantamweight kickboxing world title. “Wonder Boy” will be fighting for the title.

The expert in Muay Thai and kickboxing is looking to add another title to his collection after winning the bantamweight division of the mixed martial arts championship against John Lineker at ONE Fight Night 7 in February of this year.

In the meantime, you may relive the victory that ‘Hands of Stone’ had over Loman at ONE Fight Night 14 by watching the replay on Amazon Prime Video. In the meanwhile, access to ONE Fight Night 16 will be restricted to paying customers only.
