Fabricio Andrade is certain that he will win the forthcoming fight for the kickboxing world title against Jonathan Haggerty because Haggerty has a flaw that Andrade can take advantage of.
On October 6, Andrade and Haggerty will have a chance to compete for global titles in not one but two different sports. The ONE bantamweight kickboxing world title will be on the line as two of the best strikers in the world square off inside of the illustrious Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Andrade made reference to what he saw to be a weakness on the part of his future opponent when speaking with ONE Championship. He stated:
“His vulnerability is that he is unable to take strikes very effectively. Therefore, I want to take advantage of that in order to obtain an advantage in the battle.”
In July of 2020, Fabricio Andrade competed for the first time in ONE Championship. Since then, he has compiled a record of 6-0 in promotions, with five victories coming inside the prescribed distance. The 25-year-old had his most recent bout on February 24, when he won the ONE bantamweight MMA world championship by knocking out John Lineker in the fourth round through technical knockout.
On October 6, Andrade may have his work cut out for him against Jonathan Haggerty, who is fresh off a spectacular victory. In April of this year, Haggerty knocked out Nong-O in the first round of their fight for the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title. This victory put a stop to Nong-O’s perfect promotional record of 10-0.
At ONE Fight Night 15, there are other world championship fights slated to take place in addition to Jonathan Haggerty vs. Fabricio Andrade. In the main event, Superbon will attempt to unseat Tawanchai as the world champion of the featherweight division of Muay Thai in order to claim the title for himself.
In addition, Jonathan Di Bella will defend his ONE strawweight kickboxing world championship against Danial Williams on October 6. This event will take place on October 6.
