“Not bad for a guy with one leg” – People remember Francis Ngannou’s most recent bout in the Ultimate Fighting Championship two years ago.

Published:

It has been two years since Francis Ngannou competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

As a striker in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Ngannou was one of the most feared fighters. In his promotional career, he had a record of 12-2, totaling 11 stoppages to his name. During his rematch against Stipe Miocic in 2021, “The Predator” was able to fulfill his dream of winning the heavyweight title of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Following his victory over Miocic, Ngannou went on to fight Ciryl Gane on January 22, 2022. This particular bout was the last one that remained on his contract at the time. Although the Cameroonian was able to keep his championship on the night in question, he ultimately decided to withdraw from the promotion later that same year since he was unable to reach an agreement on a new contract.

Fans have expressed their reactions to a throwback post that was published on X by @mmamania. The post was made two years after Ngannou’s final battle inside the octagon.

Francis Ngannou wants to test Anthony Joshua’s chin

Francis Ngannou made his debut in the professional boxing circuit against Tyson Fury in 2022, after having left the Ultimate Fighting Championship in 2022. Ngannou delivered an outstanding performance, despite the fact that his boxing abilities were not taken into consideration.

While Ngannou was defeated by Fury via split decision, he is determined to win his first professional boxing match against Anthony Joshua. This is despite the fact that Ngannou was unsuccessful in his previous fight. This coming March, “The Predator” will face off against Joshua.

In the weeks leading up to the fight, the former heavyweight champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship made an appearance on The MMA Hour, where he discussed his forthcoming meeting with Anthony Joshua. Ngannou made the following statement in reference to the possibility that ‘AJ’ could be knocked out by the strike that brought Fury down:

In the event that ‘AJ’ is hit with the same punch that Fury was hit with, I cannot guarantee that he will stand up. According to what I’ve heard, he does not have a chin. In the future, I will find out… The fact of the matter is that it is wonderful for both of us in the end.
Additionally, Ngannou stated that there is no personal relationship between him and Joshua:

Even if he were my brother, I would still fight him because it would be beneficial to both of us, it would be beneficial to the sport, and it would be beneficial to the continent. The issue at hand is not a fight. When you battle someone, you are not doing so because you despise them; rather, you are battling them because it is a challenge, and the conflict always elevates both fighting parties.
