Nieky Holzken, a legendary figure in Dutch kickboxing, takes great satisfaction in his role as a father to his kid. And just as any other responsible parent would, Holzekn offers his children counsel with the intention of guiding them in the correct direction, despite the fact that they may at first be resistant to it.

In a recent interview with ONE Championship, Holzken mentioned that despite the fact that his son does not always listen to him, the experiences that he has accumulated during his life serve as a compass.

According to “The Natural,”

“And it’s not that I say something to him and he immediately pays attention to what I have to say. But when he is by himself, he mulls over what I’ve been through, and because he realizes that I’m correct, he listens to what I have to say.
Holzken has won the kickboxing world championship on many occasions and has competed for the ONE world title in the past. Even when he was very young, ‘The Natural’ had already decided that he wanted to compete at a high level in mixed martial arts.

At the age of ten, he began training in boxing, and he later expanded his repertoire of martial arts to include kickboxing and Muay Thai.

In the end, he was able to make his way to the great Ramon Dekkers and received significant instruction from him in all three types of combat from him. In a short amount of time following that, Holzken would amass more than one hundred victories overall across a variety of sports and go on to win several Dutch, European, and world titles.

When Holzken returns to the ring for his next battle in ONE Championship, he will have the opportunity to once again make his son proud of him.
