“Live to fight another day” is the phrase that Liam Nolan uses to describe his embarrassing allergic reaction, which caused him to withdraw from the rematch against Sinsamut.

Published:

The rematch that Liam Nolan was scheduled to have with Sinsamut Klinmee was called off because of a peculiar allergic response that they both had.

Before suffering a knockout loss against Sinsamut in the second round of their bout in July 2022, Nolan was on a two-fight win streak heading into the battle. After a period of four months, the lightweight Muay Thai fighter from the United Kingdom had a successful comeback by scoring a unanimous decision victory over Eddie Abasolo at ONE on Prime Video 4.

A rematch between the 26-year-old and Sinsamut was scheduled to take place in November 2023, exactly one year after the initial fight. The unfortunate situation was that Nolan was compelled to withdraw from the competition owing to an allergic reaction, which he recently detailed in an interview with ONE:

In Thailand, I experienced an allergic response to something, and as a result, my face became really red. For a few days, I was confined to bed because I was so sick. After discussing it with my coach, we came to the conclusion that it would be more beneficial to withdraw and live to fight another day rather than to join a fight of that scale without being well prepared and in a state of poor health.
The 18th installment of ONE Fight Night will be shown live on U.S. Primetime at no cost to Prime Video users who are already subscribed in North America.

Liam Nolan has a few “tricks” up his sleeve heading into ONE Fight Night 18

Liam Nolan has demonstrated glimpses of potential, which positions him as a genuine contender in the lightweight Muay Thai division of the ONE Championship in Thailand. On the 12th of January, Nolan will face promotional newbie Ali Aliev inside the illustrious Lumpinee Boxing Stadium for ONE Fight Night 18. This will be Nolan’s most recent test.

The following is what Nolan had to say about his self-assurance, which he attributes to the fact that he acquired several methods from his trainer during an interview with the South China Morning Post:

“I haven’t had a lot of encounters with him. Despite the fact that I have only seen a few clips, my trainer has a great deal of confidence in my ability to do the task. In addition, we have been practicing various tricks in the gym, so you might say that we are completely confident.

At the age of 25, Ali Aliev is making his debut in the ONE Championship. Consequently, the individual who emerges victorious from the bout between him and Liam Nolan on Friday will establish himself as a young contender that Regian Eersel, the current holder of the ONE lightweight Muay Thai world championship, must keep an eye on.
