Kim Jae Woong is sure that he will be able to overcome his jitters and defeat John Lineker.

As he prepares to do battle with John Lineker, a past champion of his division, mixed martial arts superstar Kim Jae Woong of South Korea is optimistic that he will be able to calm any sensations of anxiousness that may arise.

“The Fighting God” has had a tough go of it as of late, losing three of his past four bouts within the Circle, including back-to-back finishes to featherweight world champion Tang Kai and Russian star Shamil Gasanov. “The Fighting God” has also had a rough go of it outside the Circle, losing three of his last four battles.

Despite his recent losing streak, Kim Jae Woong has important victories over some of the most prominent stars in the promotion, including ‘The Silencer’ Kevin Belingon and former two-division titleholder Martin Nguyen. In an interview with ONE Championship, Woong stated that when he fights ‘Hands of Stone’ on August 4, he will draw significantly from the experiences he has gained in the past:

“I still vividly remember feeling tense and nervous during my matches with Nguyen and Belingon,” said Woong. “It was a very intense match.” “Having experienced those feelings in the past, I believe that I will be able to successfully overcome them this time around.”

Kim Jae Woong could potentially find himself on the edge of a title opportunity with a victory over John Lineker at ONE Fight Night 13. John Lineker is Kim Jae Woong’s opponent at this event.

As for Lineker himself, the former ONE bantamweight king is focused on getting back into the victory column after relinquishing his title at 26 pounds of gold to Fabricio Andrade in February. Andrade is the freshly crowned champion in the division. If “Hands of Stone” were to pull off a convincing victory, it would place him in an excellent position to fight “Wonder Boy” in the third and final installment of their trilogy.

Will John Lineker get back to his winning ways inside the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, or will Kim Jae Woong shock the world and set himself up for a title opportunity? Both fights will take place in Lumpinee Boxing Stadium.

On August 4, Amazon Prime Video users in North America will be able to watch the whole ONE Fight Night 13 event live and without charge during primetime in the United States.
