Jeremy Miado, also known as “The Jaguar,” is a Filipino fighter who competes in ONE Championship. He began his ONE Championship career with two losses, but has since won his past four fights, all of which were won through knockout.
Miado’s most recent victory also happens to be one of his all-time favorites and, as a result, one of his most remarkable victories. In October of 2013, at ONE on Prime Video 3, Australian dynamo Danial ‘Mini-T’ Williams was stopped in the third round. Miado displayed his remarkable striking prowess against a difficult opponent by using his length and precision to piece up Williams on the way to the finish. Williams was knocked out as a result of this.
In a recent interview with ONE Championship, Miado discussed the range of feelings that he experienced after achieving victory over such a well-respected adversary. He said that he felt like he was on a rollercoaster.
According to “The Jaguar,”
“I think it was a really big win, and the mere thought that everything I had worked so hard for was finally paying off made me feel like my emotions were going to explode,” she said.
Indeed, it was a significant victory for Miado, as he gets ever closer to a shot at the ONE strawweight world title, which is now held by Jarred ‘The Monkey God’ Brooks of the United States of America.
If Miado is successful against his upcoming challenger, he will have the chance to bolster his credentials for a run at the world title. Having said that, I do not anticipate it to be simple.
At ONE Fight Night 11: Eersel vs. Menshikov, which will be shown on Prime Video, ‘The Jaguar’ Jeremy Miado will compete against the dangerous Russian debutante Mansur Malachiev. On Friday, June 9, the event will be aired live from the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, and will be made available to fans in the United States and Canada who have a subscription to Amazon Prime at no additional cost.
