Jihin Radzuan, a fighter from Malaysia, is not the least bit shocked that Stamp Fairtex was ultimately victorious in her bid to win the women’s atomweight MMA world title that was up for grabs a month ago. On the other hand, she was taken aback by how easily the experienced Ham Seo Hee gave up in the title bout.
After defeating ‘Hamzzang’ through technical knockout in the third round of their atomweight mixed martial arts championship bout on September 29 in Singapore during ONE Fight Night 14 on Prime Video, Stamp was crowned the new atomweight MMA queen.
Jihin Radzuan, who was one of Stamp’s training partners for the title fight, admitted that she was cheering for the Thai superstar to win but that she expected a tougher stand from Ham Seo Hee, which she did not see. Jihin Radzuan was one of Stamp’s training partners for the title fight.
During an interview with Sportskeeda MMA, “Shadow Cat” disclosed the following information:
It fell short of my expectations in a significant way. It is difficult to believe that Ham could have been so vulnerable throughout the fight; perhaps it was just not her day. Everyone has their good days and their bad days, but us female athletes seem to have more of our bad days than our good days.
When Stamp, age 25, connected with a powerful right hand to Ham Seo Hee’s abdominal region in the middle of the third round, she made it possible for the fight to be stopped. She then proceeded to knock her opponent out with a series of knee blows and punches after the initial blow.
At the 1:04 mark of the round, the referee stopped the fight because Ham was unable to defend herself and put an end to the contest.
With this victory, the fighter from Rayong became the first person in ONE Championship history to win a title in all three of the organization’s sports. She was the champion of the atomweight division in both Muay Thai and kickboxing at one point in her career.
Stamp not only won the ONE Atomweight MMA World Championship thanks to his spectacular TKO victory, but he also received a performance bonus of $50,000 for his efforts.
Jihin Radzuan, for her part, had a successful comeback in her most recent fight, which took place in September. In their catchweight (120.8 pound) mixed martial arts bout, Jihin Radzuan finished Filipino opponent Jenelyn Olsim by submission in the third round.
Amazon Prime Video customers in North America have the ability to watch the rebroadcast of ONE Fight Night 14 whenever they want, on demand.
