The return of Umar Nurmagomedov to the octagon of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has fans of mixed martial arts (MMA) speculating who he would face.
Umar is one of the most promising fighters of the next generation, after being taught by the late Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov. He has a perfect record of 16-0 and has never lost a bout. A spectacular knockout victory against Raoni Barcelos in January 2023 propelled him into the top 15 of the official bantamweight rankings in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
The well-rounded repertoire of the 28-year-old fighter, which includes a powerful ground game, has earned him the reputation of a potential title contender in the future. But because he was inactive for a significant portion of the year 2023, his progress toward a possible crack at the championship slowed substantially.
In August, the Dagestani boxer was supposed to compete against Cory Sandhagen; however, owing to an injury, he was forced to withdraw from the bout and Rob Font was brought in to take his place.
It was recently reported by Nurmagomedov on X that the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has scheduled a fight for him. However, the identity of his adversary was not disclosed in his post:

At the Apex Facility in Las Vegas, Nevada, they will be hosting the UFC event that will take place on March 2.
