Dana White, the CEO of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, has responded to criticism and provided an explanation as to why the agreement with Bud Light is beneficial to all parties involved.
A huge multi-year sponsorship arrangement with the American beverage powerhouse was recently signed by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The agreement is allegedly worth more than $100 million.
Renewing its sponsorship with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) signifies Bud Light’s return to its status as a key sponsor following a sabbatical that began in 2019 when Modelo took over the role that Bud Light had previously held for more than 15 years. On the other hand, beginning in January 2024, the brand that is held by Anheuser-Busch will once again continue to play an essential position in the collaboration.

The revelation of the UFC-Bud Light partnership came at an opportune moment, as it coincided with the beverage company’s attracting significant public disfavor earlier this year for teaming with trans activist and social media figure Dylan Mulvaney in their marketing efforts.
Anheuser-Busch experienced severe financial ramifications as a result of the contentious move, which produced a significant backlash from persons who held conservative political beliefs. This backlash led to widespread promises to boycott Bud Light, which in turn led to the boycott of Bud Light.
During his most recent appearance on Bussin’ With the Boys, Dana White provided a convincing defense of his choice to work with the controversial beer brand, saying:
With that being said, if I have chosen to go with Anheuser-Busch and Bud Light, there is a pretty excellent reason for my decision. When it comes to the inner workings of the beer industry, I am more knowledgeable than all of these men as well as all of these fans and all of this nonsense. They proceeded to take action against Anheuser-Busch because of their enlightened actions and actions.
He went on to say:
“I think that you know obviously, I’ve laid out all the reasons why I’m way more aligned with Anheuser-Busch than any other beer company out there, and for those of you that haven’t heard 65,000 Americans are employed by Anheuser-Busch and a lot of them are vets [military veterans] that alone should be enough reason. When you consider that they spend about a billion dollars annually with farmers in the United States, it ought to be a very good reason for you to do it.
Dana White opens up about slapping his wife
Recently, Dana White addressed the controversy that surrounded his New Year’s Eve announcement, highlighting the significance of personal growth and accountability in the midst of the backlash. An altercation that was filmed with the CEO of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and his wife took place in a Mexican bar on December 31, 2022, and it drew considerable criticism from the general public. White was subjected to weeks of reaction on social media over the incident, despite the fact that he expressed regret for it.
During the podcast that was stated above, White reflected on the difficult process of dealing with the aftermath of the occurrence because:
The incident that occurred on New Year’s Eve, I fuking did it. This fcking happening. There is no justification. Although I might have tried to come up with 10 different explanations, there is absolutely no excuse… You are the one who will have to live with you at the end of the day… A person must be able to live with themselves and be aware of who they are in order to be successful. During the previous New Year’s Eve, I embarrassed my three children, whom I love more than anything else in the world by embarrassing them. It was embarrassing not just for me, but also for my children.
