In an interview with CUTZRADIO that took place a few days before the fight on September 22, Rodtang reflected on his career and the arduous path that led him to the pinnacle of the combat sports industry.

Sharing a more vulnerable side of himself in comparison to the tough competitor that he is today, “The Iron Man” remarked about how uneasy he felt when he first landed in Bangkok, which is the capital of Thailand.

The champion was able to keep his thoughts occupied by using his work ethic, which consisted of putting his head down and beginning his work without delay.

He thought to himself:

“When I first arrived in Bangkok, I couldn’t help but feel homesick and burst into tears. I get on the phone with my sister and tell her that I’m terrified and that I can’t continue to be here. However, I concentrated on my training, and as a result, things changed.
