Former teammate Kevin Belingon’s defeat at the hands of John Lineker was a valuable lesson for Stephen Loman.

Mixed martial arts competitor ‘The Sniper’ Stephen Loman, who competes for Team Lakay in the Philippines and is rated second in the bantamweight division of the ONE Championship, is currently getting himself primed and ready for what could be the most important battle of his professional career.

‘Hands of Stone’ John Lineker of Brazil, a former ONE bantamweight MMA world champion, will be Loman’s opponent at ONE Fight Night 14: Stamp vs. Ham, which will be broadcast on Prime Video.

On Friday, September 29, live coverage of the event may be seen emanating from the Singapore Indoor Stadium located in Singapore.

In an interview that was conducted exclusively with Sportskeeda MMA, Loman disclosed that he is receiving all of the assistance that he can receive.

“The Sniper” said the following:

“I was able to pick up a lot of useful information by seeing my brother Kevin Belingon compete against John Lineker. I want to take advantage of the gaps in his strategy that he has in his game.”
In a back-and-forth battle that took place in November of 2020, Lineker won via technical knockout in the second round against Belingon, who had previously been Loman’s teammate at Team Lakay.

Since then, Belingon has moved on to become a member of the newly created Lions Nation MMA run by Filipino star Eduard Folayang, but he and Loman continue to be good friends. There is no question in anyone’s mind that “The Silencer” has provided Loman with helpful hints and suggestions in advance of their much anticipated battle with “Hands of Stone.”

Will Loman’s perseverance pays off in the form of a shot at the world title. It is anticipated that the victor of his bout with Lineker will go on to earn the chance to face the current ONE bantamweight MMA world champion, ‘Wonder Boy’ Fabricio Andrade at some point later on in this year.

Fans in the United States and Canada will be able to watch ONE Fight Night 14: Stamp vs. Ham live and for free on Amazon Prime Video. This event will feature a middleweight bout between Stamp and Ham.
