‘Sladkiy’ Anatoly Malykhin, the reigning and undisputed ONE heavyweight and light heavyweight MMA world champion, is confident that his Tiger Muay Thai teammate and close friend, ‘Wonder Boy’ Fabricio Andrade, will get the job done in his next fight and make history, despite the fact that Andrade will enter the bout as a slight underdog.
Andrade is about to face the most difficult test of his brief professional career as he competes against ‘The General’ Jonathan Haggerty for the vacant ONE bantamweight kickboxing world title. Haggerty is the current world champion in bantamweight Muay Thai for ONE Championship.
This bout is the main event of ONE bout Night 16: Haggerty vs. Andrade on Prime Video, which is scheduled to take place on Friday, November 3, and will be televised live from the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Andrade, who is 26 years old and from Brazil, is an absolute phenom, according to Malykhin, who expressed these sentiments in a recent interview with ONE Championship. Malykhin stated he believes Andrade will emerge as a two-sport world champion when everything is said and done.
“Sladkiy” stated that:
“I believe Fabricio is much more gifted specifically with his punches, and I believe it will be his biggest advantage, in addition to his physique. In addition to that, his blows pack a punch.
Andrade will have his hands raised by the time the night is out, and he will be the new king of the bantamweight kickboxing category if Malykhin is correct in his prediction.
Of course, saying something is simpler than actually doing it. One of the most dangerous attacking forces in ONE Championship, ‘The General’ Jonathan Haggerty is Andrade’s opponent. The fact that Haggerty was able to single-handedly eliminate the illustrious Nong-O Hama earlier this year is evidence of the threat that he carries.
If the Englishman wins this fight against Andrade, he will also have the unique possibility to become a two-time ONE World Champion in different sports.
Fans in the United States and Canada who have a current subscription to Amazon Prime Video may watch all of the action of ONE Fight Night 16: Haggerty vs. Andrade live and for free as long as they have an internet connection.
