Conor McGregor makes fun of Gilbert Burns while making statements about the ‘overrated’ UFC career of the Brazilian fighter.

Following the publication of a Twitter tweet that was critical of Gilbert Burns’s career in the UFC, Conor McGregor has taken digs at the Brazilian fighter and UFC welterweight contender.

An someone who uses Twitter published a message in which they assert that Burns is a “overrated fighter” and cast doubt on the veracity of “Durinho’s MMA resume.”

“Gilbert Burns has to be one of the most overrated fighters in the history of the sport. The fact that he was able to fight Khamzat to a “close” draw is his greatest accomplishment. Since 2019, has not won against a competitor who is younger than 35 years old. Belal gave me a 50-45, and then Dan Hooker ko’d me with a tremendous punch. He was never even close to being THAT excellent.

Gilbert Burns has to be among the most overrated boxers of all time. He just can’t seem to win.

His most notable accomplishment is that he was able to have a “close” bout with Khamzat. Since 2019, he has not been victorious over an opponent who is younger than 35 years old. Received a 50-45 from Belal and was knocked out cold by Dan Hooker.

Never in his life was he THAT good.

“Ye but what a name, ‘gilbert,'” Conor McGregor commented in one of his tweets.

Burns is known to have had a successful career, as evidenced by his record of 15-6-0 in the multi-billion dollar promotion. Demian Maia, Gunnar Nelson, Tyrone Woodley, Stephen Thompson, Neil Magny, and Jorge Masvidal are just some of the notable names that appear on the Brazilian’s list of previous victories.

The most recent time anyone got to see ‘Durinho’ in action was at UFC 288, where he competed against Belal Muhammad in a co-main event battle that lasted for five rounds. Burns was significantly outmatched for the majority of the bout by Muhammad, and as a result, the battle did not go in his favour. The 36-year-old fighter ultimately came out on the wrong side of a unanimous decision, which was reached with scores of 50-45, 49-46, and 49-46 respectively.

Gilbert Burns weighs in on Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler

Conor McGregor, an Irish superstar fighter, is anticipated to make his return to the ring in the year 2023. McGregor has been out for a considerable amount of time. On the most recent season of the popular UFC reality show “The Ultimate Fighter,” “The Notorious” will compete as Michael Chandler’s opponent as a coach. Later on in the year, the two competitors will face each other in a bout that takes place inside of an octagon.

There has not yet been any confirmation on the time or place where the fight would take place. However, this has not stopped members of the mixed martial arts (MMA) community from analysing the battle and giving their thoughts on it.

Gilbert Burns, a friend of Chandler’s and a teammate of theirs, has also given his opinion regarding the fight. If ‘Durinho’, who is pulling for Chandler to win, is to be believed, the fight between ‘Iron’ and ‘The Notorious’ would not go beyond the first round.

“I believe that it will be decided in the first round of the fight. The winner is determined by who strikes first. I hope the other person had a good night. I really hope Chandler comes out on top, but I think Conor has a good shot as well. It’s going to be a wild fight, but I think Chandler has a chance to knock out his opponent early on thanks to his power, explosion, and speed. He’s going to be moving in and out of the ring very quickly. We’ll see. In the first round, it became clear that there would be no need for a second. beginning at minute 22:35
