Despite the fact that they are both more than capable of taking matters to the ground and turning the fight into a grappling contest, 17-time Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion Marcus ‘Buchecha’ Almeida believes that the reigning ONE heavyweight world champion ‘Singh’ Arjan Bhullar and interim titleholder ‘Sladkiy’ Anatoly Malykhin are going to keep the fight standing in order to prove a point.
The fighter known as “Buchecha” is of the opinion that the pressure that has been mounting for the past year as a result of the preparations for this bout being made will not be squandered on a ground fight that is focused on technique. The 32-year-old unbeaten heavyweight competitor in ONE Championship feels that Bhullar and Malykhin will go to war in “a boxing fight.”
Almeida recently gave his thoughts on what he believes the action will be like in this all-important heavyweight showdown during an interview with The MMA Superfan. Almeida expressed his opinions on what he thinks the action will be like in this all-important heavyweight clash.
‘Buchecha’ said:
“There will be no firing because no one wants to spend energy, and someone will have to defend themselves if they do. Therefore, I believe that it will be very similar to a boxing bout. A bout in the boxing ring.”

The rematch between the current holder of the ONE heavyweight world championship, ‘Singh’ Arjan Bhullar, and the fighter who had the interim title, ‘Sladkiy’ Anatoly Malykhin, has been a long time coming.
Over the course of the past year, Bhullar and Malykhin have engaged in verbal sparring on various social media platforms, and they have not stopped trolling each other in the run-up to fight night. But after a number of setbacks and delays, it seems as though the two behemoths are now prepared to finally enter the ring and settle the score with their fists.
At ONE Friday Fights 22, which will take place at the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday, June 23 in Asia primetime, Bhullar and Malykhin will aim to unify the ONE heavyweight world title. This event will take place in primetime in Asia.
The official ONE Championship channel on YouTube will stream all of the action live and it will be completely free for viewers in the United States and Canada.
In the meantime, Almeida is getting ready for his own comeback, which will take place when he fights Oumar ‘Reug Reug’ Kane at ONE Fight Night 13: Allazov vs. Grigorian, which will air on Prime Video in the month of August.
