The unbeaten LFA champion Jamey-Lyn Horth will be Hailey Cowan’s opponent when she allegedly makes her professional ring entrance at UFC Vegas 72 on April 29. The breaking news was tweeted by MMA journalist Marcel Dorff, who wrote: “Hailey Cowan (7-2) had a fresh bout scheduled. Jamey-Lyn Horth (5-0), the unbeaten LFA champion, will be her opponent on April 29 at #UFCVegas72.
After competing successfully on Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS) 2022 (Episode #4), where she defeated Claudia Leite by decision, “All Hail” was offered her first contract with the UFC. The former Invicta and LFA fighter will surely be one to watch out for with seven victories in her previous eight fights and a pro MMA record of 7-2.
‘All Hail’ was originally scheduled to compete against fellow LFA veteran Tamires Vidal this weekend at UFC San Antonio, but Vidal had to withdraw from the fight because of health complications. Following the cancellation of her first scheduled fight against Ailin Perez due to a health issue, Cowan’s UFC debut was delayed a second time.
Following a split-decision victory over Claudia Leite in August 2022, Hailey Cowan is presently on a two-fight winning run. Her record as a whole is 7-2.
Jamey-Lyn Horth, her next opponent, will also be making her UFC debut at UFC Vegas 72. The organisation signed the talented Canadian flyweight earlier this month. The 32-year-old boxer is unbeaten and has a perfect 5-0 record. He is currently on a five-fight winning streak.
