The current holder of the ONE flyweight kickboxing world championship, Superlek Kiatmoo9, has stated that he has avoided a bout with his close friend and fellow Thai superstar, Rodtang Jitmuangnon.
The phrase “The Kicking Machine” has been used numerous times to deflect inquiries about the possibility of him fighting another great flyweight fighter by declaring that he would prefer fight non-Thai opponents.
This tune was eventually modified when ONE Championship announced the most anticipated Muay Thai fight of the century would be the main event of the action-packed ONE Friday Fights 34 fight program that will take place on September 22.
The fight between Superlek and Rodtang will take place at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, and the winner will walk away with the ONE flyweight Muay Thai belt as well as all the bragging rights in the globe. In the meantime, the two fighters have agreed to put their friendship to one side.
