Chatri Sityodtong, CEO and Chairman of ONE, stated that plans for the organization to organize more events in the United States are developing favorably and making good headway.

A recent announcement revealed that the ONE Championship is planning to stage at least four live on-ground shows in the United States in the upcoming year. This new development is in line with the organization’s efforts to expand its reach outside its usual markets in Asia in order to bring its world-class combat sports action to new regions.

In an interview with Just Scrap Radio on BJPenn.com, Chatri Sityodtong stated that negotiations to play future events in the United States are progressing favorably, and that a number of states have already authorized the worldwide rulebook for the promotion.

According to Chatri Sityodtong:

“Definitely. These conversations are now taking place, and we have a few states that have already adopted the global rulebook. As for the rest of the states, we are working through them state by state. We are working hard to demonstrate and bring the most ONE here. I believe that it is the most exciting promotion that could ever take place anywhere in the world.

Chatri Sityodtong and ONE are ensuring that a significant portion of their strategy is to sustain their global rulebook for mixed martial arts. This is happening while the company continues to broaden its scope of operations.

The global ruleset that ONE uses is a compilation of the most successful aspects of regulations from both Asia and other regions. The implementation of it has led to more thrilling bouts for fans to take pleasure in watching.

One of its most notable characteristics is that every competitor wears mixed martial arts gloves weighing 4 ounces. Each round will last five minutes, and there will be three rounds total in each combat. The world championship contests will feature five rounds, each lasting five minutes.

Wins by decision, on the other hand, are tallied according to the entirety of the match rather than round-by-round. A near knockout or near submission, damage caused, ring generalship, earned takedowns or takedown defense, and aggressiveness are the criteria that the judges will use to choose the winner.

In May, ONE Championship hosted its very first ever live on-ground event anywhere in the United States.

The trilogy title battle between American mixed martial arts (MMA) legend Demetrious Johnson and his rival Adriano Moraes from Brazil served as the main event of the historic program. Johnson is the current ONE flyweight world champion.

The 1stBank Center in Colorado was completely packed for the performance.
