“Wonder Boy” Fabricio Andrade, who now holds the title of reigning and undisputed ONE bantamweight MMA world champion, is prepared to take on his toughest test to date.
In his upcoming bout, Andrade is scheduled to compete for the vacant ONE bantamweight kickboxing world title against ‘The General’ Jonathan Haggerty, who holds the title of ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion.
On Friday, October 6, ONE Fight Night 15 will be streamed live on Prime Video, and it will feature a fight between two of the best bantamweight fighters in the world. The fight will take place in the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Andrade is confident that he has ‘The General’s fighting style all figured out, as he has done his research and studied Haggerty’s prior fights. He believes that the Englishman will have a difficult time competing against him.
The saying goes, “Wonder Boy,”
“He is an athlete with a lot of technical skill. He capitalizes effectively on his opponent’s errors in play. He has a good feel for the battle. It is against the regulations of kickboxing for him to utilize his elbows, thus he won’t be able to do it in this matchup. His elbows are one of his strongest weapons.
The best weapons in Haggerty’s arsenal are his elbows. He makes sure to employ them in a way that is most effective. However, kickboxing does not permit strikes of such nature, so it will be interesting to watch who comes out on top in this fight given those restrictions.
It’s also important to point out that Andrade has some prior experience in the sport of kickboxing. Before he joined ONE Championship and became a mixed martial arts (MMA) world champion, he had a spell in his professional career during which he competed in China.
Haggerty, on the other hand, is widely regarded as one of the most gifted Muay Thai competitors anywhere in the world. It goes without saying that this represents a fascinating collision of aesthetics.
On Friday, October 6, ONE Fight Night 15 will be streamed live on Prime Video from the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Fans in the United States and Canada have the opportunity to watch all of the action live and for no additional cost on Amazon Prime.
