With his late comeback victory over Kamaru Usman thanks to an amazing head kick, Leon Edwards stunned the world. However, according to a Reddit user, the welterweight champion was not given the courtesy of a photo opportunity with his brand-new belt.
The revised image of Edwards wearing the championship belt on the UFC website was discovered to have been Photoshopped by Reddit user u/starfoxzeronie. It appears that Edwards’ body had Usman’s right arm digitally inserted into it.
“I just realised Usman’s arm and belt were photo-shopped onto Leon in the belt-wearing photo hahaha.”
Fans mocked the UFC for their lack of effort and went into further detail about additional details that were taken from Kamaru Usman’s photograph.
“When you Google Leon Edwards, this picture of him wearing the belt appears. That’s pretty slothful. They also polished the shoulder, lol.”
Fans have suggested a number of additional scenarios and provided further examples of the UFC using Photoshopping techniques with different fighters.
“Another illustration of the UFC’s fucking cheap website updates and fighter updates. Imagine if it had been Tyron Woodley’s arm instead of Usman’s.”
Every new champion is given the white and black arm from each division’s file.
Daniel Cormier believes Khamzat Chimaev should be concerned after the announcement of Kamaru Usman vs. Leon Edwards
At UFC 286, Leon Edwards will defend his championship against Kamaru Usman for the first time. The trilogy match will take place in London, the capital of Edwards’ native England.
On the DC & RC Show, Daniel Cormier expressed his worries regarding Khamzat Chimaev and the lack of a matchup for the Swedish fighter who is of Russian descent:
“Given that we have completed the first quarter of the year, it causes me great concern. March is the month of this war. Khamzat is so excluded from the first quarter. Who does he battle, and when? He is not now in a situation where he can only do something once a year. If you want to continue to establish him as a man who could challenge, you need him at the beginning of the year and you need him at the end of the year.”
Chimaev and Leon Edwards vs. Kamaru Usman 3 should be on the same card, according to Cormier.
