Danielle Kelly, the current world champion in submission grappling at the atomweight division for ONE, has issued a challenge to Tammi Musumeci, another fighter in the ONE women’s atomweight division.

Musumeci, who is the sister of Mikey Musumeci, the current king of submission grappling at the flyweight division for ONE Championship, recently won the 2023 IBJJF No-Gi world title. This is her sixth world title overall.
Kelly has a past with the older Musumeci, and she is determined to get revenge for the loss she suffered at the hands of the latter, this time with gold at stake.
Through her Instagram account, Kelly shared a story in which she stated:
I am interested in competing against Tammy @mikeymusumeci for the vacant 125-pound grappling title. I would be happy to accept this bout. What I aim to do is to become the first ever grappling champion of two divisions at the One Championship.”

From the looks of it, this fight is getting closer and closer to being confirmed. During the Who’s Number One (WNO) 2021 competition, Musumeci defeated Kelly by way of an armlock victory. Kelly was defeated by Musumeci. The question of whether or not a rematch will take place, as well as the weight class that will be involved, is still up in the air.
