Rodtang takes fans inside his mind during his most recent knockout victory and explains his exceptional thought process.

Rodtang Jitmuangnon, sometimes known as “The Iron Man,” is the reigning flyweight Muay Thai world champion and is widely regarded as one of the most terrifying finishers in all of martial sports.

The Thai superstar, who is now 26 years old, has a knack for spotting weaknesses in his opponent’s defense and capitalizing on such weaknesses to score amazing knockouts that are worthy of highlight reels. Or, he simply walks through the flames to finish off his enemies.

In either scenario, Rodtang is a skilled hitter, an experienced knockout artist, and a performer who is recognized for his electrifying shows.

Another finish worthy of a highlight reel came from his most recent bout, which was a defense of his Muay Thai world title against Edgar Tabares of Mexico at ONE Fight Night 10 in Colorado in May of last year.

The fight was over practically as soon as Rodtang landed a devastating elbow of his own, which blocked Tabares’ spinning elbow attempt and put an end to it.

In a recent interview that was conducted exclusively for Sportskeeda, Rodtang took the time to walk reporters through his thought process as he pieced together Tabares.

The Iron Man had this to say:

“During the first round, I observed that he attempted spinning elbows a few times. As a result, I was pretty confident that he would attempt more of those in the subsequent rounds. You saw that he did had a chance to win the second round of the competition. On the other hand, I was well prepared for it, therefore I was able to properly counter it.
As a consequence, ‘The Iron Man’ delivered yet another stellar performance, one for which he was rewarded with an additional US $100,000 in cash and prizes.

On May 5th, Rodtang and Tabares squared off in a fight at ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs. Moraes III, which was ONE Championship’s historic first-ever live event held on United States soil.

On the other hand, Tabares will be fighting once again this week, this time against Elias Mahmoudi, at ONE Fight Night 13: Allazov vs. Grigorian, which will take place at the illustrious Lumpinee Boxing Stadium on August 4th.

Fans in the United States and Canada with an Amazon Prime Video subscription can watch ONE Fight Night events live and for free on Amazon Prime Video.
