The kicking incident that occurred during the ADCC tournament involving Sharaputdin Magomedov takes a new turn with additional proof.

Published:

Sharaputdin Magomedov, a potential contender for the middleweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, got himself in trouble once more after striking an opponent during a grappling competition. The first time that Magomedov was mentioned in the media was in June of 2022, when he was accused of assaulting a man in Makhachkala for having an inappropriate sexual encounter with a woman when they were shopping at a mall.

Sharaputdin Magomedov was put to submission by Jakub Bilko with a heel hook during the ADCC Bangkok open that took place over the weekend. After being tapped, Magomedov appeared to lose his composure and proceeded to kick Bilko in the posterior region. After the footage was shared on the internet, there was an enormous backlash, and many people demanded that the Dagestani fighter be disqualified from the competition or prevented from taking part in any future matches.

On the other hand, a number of spectators and people who claim to have “insider knowledge” assert that Sharaputdin Magomedov entered the fight with an injured knee. It has been suggested that Magomedov informed Jakub Bilko about his injuries and recommended that he refrain from attempting heel hooks or knee bars as a result of Magomedov’s request.

On Reddit, where Jakub Bilko launched a thread discussing the events that took place, there is currently a great deal of speculation that is taking place. This is what Bilko had to say about the entire situation:

“Hey! Before the event, he was speaking to me in Russian and attempting to convey anything to me. Because I don’t speak Russian, I responded by saying that I couldn’t comprehend what he was saying because I believed that I was in danger. Because it was the only time we communicated, how am I supposed to consent to something that I can’t even comprehend? Because I was under the impression that there was going to be some meat on those bones, I had some of my buddies do the translating for me. It turned out that he was worried about getting hurt, and my response was “ah, okay.” However, I never indicated that I wouldn’t play my game with this guy because of his concern. Even if it were stated in a manner that was easy to understand, I still would not concur with it. It’s completely unfathomable.”

What was Sharaputdin Magomedov’s side of the story?

We need to look at the UFC middleweight prospect’s side of the story in order to bring additional context to the subject that was just discussed, which was about Magomedov’s public meltdown. His account was shared on a Telegram channel, where a Dagestani provided more information about the incident after it had been widely circulated.

Sharaputdin Magomedov made the following statement:

“When I signed up, I was supposed to be in the blue belt division; however, they put me in the black belt division instead.” I’ve agreed to engage in combat. Without causing any discomfort to either of my legs, I decided to concur with him that there would be no heel hooks used. I cautioned him thrice, but each time he responded with a yes. As soon as we started fighting, he instantly went down on his back, and as soon as he did so, he immediately began attacking my legs. I became quite angry about it.”
