When compared to athletes competing in other promotions, Chatri Sityodtong considers ONE competitors to be “the very best on the planet.” The phrase “legit killers”

Chatri Sityodtong, chairman and CEO of ONE Championship, is of the opinion that his company’s offering is incomparably greater to that of any of its rivals for one simple reason: ONE just possesses more talented athletes.

On the roster of ONE Championship are martial artists that are world champions in a variety of different combat disciplines, including Muay Thai, kickboxing, wrestling, submission grappling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, boxing, and mixed martial arts.

Fans are said to be mesmerized by the level of skill they witness inside the circle for this very reason, according to Sityodtong. This is true regardless of whether it is Muay Thai and kickboxing star Stamp Fairtex facing off against boxing and MMA queen Xiong Jing Nan, kickboxing and Muay Thai icons Rodtang and Superlek doing battle, or elite human-pretzel makers Danielle Kelly and Jessa Khan engaging in ground combat.

Sityodtong believes that there is a tremendous divide between their company and others like the UFC and Bellator.

In a recent interview with the South China Morning Post, the Thai-Japanese martial artist who has been training for his entire life stated:

“What you see in the UFC is really sloppy and mediocre-ish striking because they’re not strikers. That’s just the how it is. A typical UFC fighter competed at the Division I collegiate level in wrestling, went undefeated in the minor leagues, did some striking training, and then joined the UFC. They are already several world champions at the pinnacle of their careers when they arrive in ONE, where all of the fighters are already world champions before they even join the organization.

“Any of these legitimate killers, from Anissa Meksen to Jonathan Di Bella to Rodtang or Tawanchai or Superbon. Any of them. This is what sets us apart from other people. If you take a look at our roster, I believe the UFC has approximately 700 athletes and so do we, around there. However, if you take a look at the number of world championship titles that our fighters have won before they joined ONE, it’s like half the organization. If you go to UFC or Bellator, there are at most twenty or thirty fighters. This is the reason why you see a lot of sloppy jiu-jitsu or low-level striking in other organizations, but in ONE, you see the very, very best on the planet in each of their disciplines and, of course, in mixed martial arts as well. Therefore, I believe without a doubt that we offer the most exciting experience possible to fans from all over the world.
