This weekend’s UFC Fight Night: Cannonier vs. Strickland will feature middleweight contenders Jared Cannonier and Sean Strickland as the main event. But throughout the entire event, there won’t be a single unbeaten competitor in Las Vegas.
Four fighters fighting at the Fight Night event presently have MMA professional records that include just one loss. All four Damir Ismagulov, Maheshate, Amir Albazi, and Bryan Battle have illustrious resumes.
Battle (8-1) will compete against Rinat Fakhretdinov at 170 pounds. After winning his first three fights in the UFC, he will want to continue his winning streak.
Maheshate (9-1) defeated Steve Garcia in his UFC debut to earn a contract through Dana White’s Contender Series. This weekend, the Chinese boxer will compete against Rafa Garca.
Amir Albazi (15-1) has appeared to be a threat since since he joined the UFC in 2020. Malcolm Gordon and Francisco Figueiredo were easily dispatched by the Iraqi fighter, who then defeated Zhalgas Zhumagulov by a unanimous vote. In Las Vegas, Albazi competes against Alessandro Costa in the 125-pound weight class.
