There is no question in Dmitry Menshikov’s mind that he steals the belt from Regian Eersel.

Dmitry Menshikov is very confident that he will leave the arena on Friday night with some shiny new gold hardware around his waist. He has no reason to question this outcome.

The hard-hitting Russian striker, who is 25 years old, is about to face the hardest challenge of his career when he competes against ‘The Immortal,’ Regian Eersel, for his Muay Thai belt in less than two days, but he is oozing with confidence. The fight will be for the ONE global championship in two different sports.

In a recent interview with the South China Morning Post on fight week in Bangkok, the question was posed to Menshikov as to whether or not he believes he is capable of besting Eersel at the game that he is best at.

The answer given by the 25-year-old was:

“As I stated earlier, without a doubt I was putting in a lot of effort. I was going to travel a very significant distance. And I can say that each fighter here is very sure about their wins, so why shouldn’t I be so sure [about myself]? I can say that because each fighter here is so convinced about their wins. As for me, I am confident that I will prevail. I have no doubts in my mind, and I’m prepared to seize the opportunity to win the belt as well as to defend it. This is a really significant point for me.

Menshikov gave a vague response when asked how he plans to prevail in the competition. He added:

“I do not make any forecasts. You are going to see in the battle that I am really confident about winning, and the rest of the competitors as well.
