A number of fans have voiced their ideas over the next opponent that Rodtang Jitmuangnon, the current ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion, should face.
Rodtang was slated to defend his ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title against Superlek, who was the ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion. The match was scheduled to take place in September of 2023. Unfortunately, “The Kicking Machine” did not meet the weight requirement, which means that he is not qualified to challenge “The Iron Man.”
In a fight that lasted three rounds, Superlek emerged victorious by way of a unanimous decision. After suffering a defeat that was less than satisfying, Rodtang was scheduled to compete against Takeru Segawa in the latter’s first promotional bout. In order to compete in the main event of ONE 165, which was against Takeru, “The Iron Man” was forced to withdraw due to an injury, and Superlek was able to take his place.
Because Rodtang Jitmuangnon is already making preparations for what lies ahead, it is quite unlikely that his injuries will necessitate a lengthy layoff. Recently, ONE decided to take to Instagram and ask their followers who they would like to see the face of “The Iron Man”:

In addition to having a desire to compete against Takeru Segawa, it is well knowledge that Rodtang Jitmuangnon has a past with Superlek Kiatmoo9. During the press conference for ONE 165, Chatri Sityodtong, Chairman and CEO of ONE Championship, revealed the following information regarding the possibility of Rodtang fighting the winner of the fight between Superlek and Takeru:
“Yes, yes, I am rather certain. Rodtang is interested in engaging in combat with Takeru. Additionally, a rematch between Superlek and Rodtang in the sport of Muay Thai is unquestionably going to take place. I believe that there is an extremely fascinating possible trilogy for Takeru and Superlek, as well as for Takeru and Rodtang, and also for Rodtang and Superlek. This possibility exists regardless of the outcome.
It is currently unknown whether Sityodtong and authorities from ONE Championship are still interested in scheduling a fight between Superlek and Rodtang 2. It is only through the passage of time that we will know what the future holds for the world-class fighters, since all three fighters, including Takeru Segawa, have multiple alternatives for whom they will fight next.
